Foodies Cantina reopens in November as an additional option for Velas Vallarta guests
Foodies Cantina is a place for Velas Vallarta guests to enjoy a typical Mexican cantina’s food and drinks. A sampling of menu options include Marlin “La Tía,” Smoked marlin cooked Mexican-style and accompanied with an avocado sauce, bean sprouts, cucumber, serrano chili and soy sauce, and Cheese and Banana Empanadas, with purple onion, avocado salsa, micro greens, and pasilla chili and green tomatillo sauce. How about dessert? Well, one of the options is Puebla de los Ángeles, a sponge cake with bitter chocolate mole poblano, mixed nuts, orange reduction and peanut butter with Oaxacan mescal. Every night, a singer softens the mood for diners with typical melodies of the region. Later in the night, a mariachi band performs for diners to enhance the Mexican atmosphere.
This foodie experience opens for dinner guests at 7 p.m. and is only open from November until Easter. Dress code for Foodies Cantina is casually elegant and reservations are required.
